If you’re not familiar with Palos Verdes, have you heard of the Trump National Los Angeles Golf Course?  Yes, Mr. Trump placed his golf course right here on the Peninsula.  If you can come and visit and see the spectacular beauty of this breathtaking place, you’ll quickly see why.  Palos Verdes, the name of the Peninsula that comprises the four cities listed above, and is a part of the larger area often referred to as the “South Bay”, is a tight nit community and is often referred to as a “bedroom community” for Los Angeles.

Did you know that Palos Verdes was named Los Angeles’ richest ZIP code?  This title was given to one of the two ZIPs here on the Peninsula as a result of its high median home price.  While home values may have dropped slightly as a result of the current economy, it is still relatively one of the most expensive places to live inLos Angeles, if not in all of the United States.

If you’d like to visit, please note that the entire city of Rolling Hills is gated.  Only residents and their guests are admitted.  Our recommendation, if you happen to be visiting during the whale migrating season, is to visit Starbucks at 31110 Hawthorne Blvd, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA  90275.  Here, for the price of a coffee, you can sit out on the patio and watch whales migrate past you while enjoying the majestic beauty of the Pacific Ocean.  Just beware that sunny days in Los Angles don’t always translate to sunny days on the bluffs of the Palos Verdes Pensinsula.  You might want to call ahead to Starbucks before making the trek.
